Instrument control engineer based in Accra,Ghana onshore
Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for development activities within the expertise area , I&C that will evaluate and identify improvement in operations conditions as studies and suggestion to introduce new technologies and implement lessons learned to improve the performance and availability of the fleet, ensuring that projects meet specifications, standards and local regulation.
Core Responsibilities
Generate modifications and improvements proposals for MODEC’s, FSO’s and FPSO’s related to instrumentation, Control Systems, F&G Systems and detection, by performing Inspection on board or receiving feedback from offshore team and considearing new technology to be appied if applicable
Verify any failure in the performance of Instrumentation and automation system, preparing engineering analysis and implement root cause analysis study
Assist process team with simulations of the new conditions to solve operational issues.
Create the Design philosophy & functional specification developing maintaining and updated the documents
Implement the lessons learned database, ensuring inclusion in the system of all the forms developed
Design new instrumentation, actuated valves and equipment for procurement, preparing all the documention necessary, ET, FD, considering the MODEC technical philosophy.
Evaluate the existing instrument/control systems due new condition developing studies and implement modifications when applicable.
Provide updated documentation developing the proper “As Built” for all modifications related to instrumentation
and automation in order to reflect the modification during 12 months.
Assist technically the safety studies, participating on HAZOP/HAZID and other safety assessment.
